Furthering The Interest Of All Aspects Of Amateur Radio
The South Lancs Amateur Radio Club (SLARC) welcome all amateur radio enthusiasts.
South Lancs Amateur Radio Club is a friendly and inclusive community of amateur (ham) radio enthusiasts who share a passion for radio communication, electronics, and experimentation. The club promotes hands-on learning across HF, VHF, and UHF operating, digital modes, antennas, and portable operating. With a new committee bringing fresh energy, South Lancs Amateur Radio Club actively assists new members on their amateur radio journey, works closely with Wigan Sea Cadets, and engages public interest by demonstrating the value of amateur radio in education, community, and emergency communications. The club also introduces exciting new activities such as ARDF events and 2m/70cm/HF field days, all while staying true to its welcoming, community-focused spirit.
