Last November, one of our members from the SLARC South Lancs Amateur Radio Club, Stu – M7SPI – A Radio Amateurs Learning Journey, mentioned that he knows friends who host a rugby podcast namely Fat Monkey. This year, they’ve formed another amateur rugby league team once again to compete in charity matches benefiting Wigan & Leigh Hospice, going up against other amateur rugby clubs throughout Northwest. We had the SLARC – South Lancs Amateur Radio Club website sublimated on their game day shirts in exchange for a small donation, which will help support their chosen charity, Wigan & Leigh Hospice. Throughout the 2025 season, the players will proudly wear our club’s name as they strive to raise as much money as possible for the hospice with each match they participate in.

South Lancs Amateaur Radio Club wish them the best of luck in their upcoming 2025 campaign.
Feel free to show them your support via their website: Fat Monkey UK
